Vibration Analysis Module (VAM)

  • Capable of analyzing eight vibration signals, +/- 20 Vmax (on six voltage channels), 4-20mA (on two current channels), using a simultaneous sampling 24-bit ADC
  • Programmable sampling rate (up to 16 ksps/ channel) and support for external trigger input (for s/w synchronization)
  • On-board anti-aliasing filters
  • Individually programmable channel gains (1, 2, 4, 8) for two current channels
  • Two 150 MIPS, Floating point DSPs - TMS320F28335, one each for signal processing (asynchronous and & frequency domain analysis) and communications (RS-232, Ethernet, Touch Display etc.)
  • On-DSP Flash used for storing program and user configuration
  • 2MByte, 1 WS, SRAM available as local memory for each DSP
  • 128KB, Dual Port SRAM for inter-processor communications
  • 320x240 pixel, touch screen display
  • Ethernet, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces for transmission of vibration data to a remote host
  • 4-20mA current outputs and relay control alarm outputs
  • Operates on 24V DC, 1A supply
  • Dimensions (height x width x depth): 5.2" x 9.5" x 6.4"
  • Power On Self Test (POST) source code available (illustrates usage of all the hardware components available)
